An exclusive Technology Showcase, a speaking slot about the future of collaboration and sponsorship for the 18th Golden Bridge Trade & Export Awards: Barco certainly has had some busy days in the city of London, this past week … And there’s more to come: as an official event sponsor, we will chair no fewer than three speaking slots at this week’s Control Rooms Conference – an initiative of IBC Energy.
Extended projection portfolio
On Monday, 55 people attended Barco’s exclusive Technology Showcase in the Queen Elizabeth II Conference Center. In a set of hands-on demos, they discovered our wide projection portfolio – from the F50 projector with Ultra Short Throw lens and Present-C business projectors through to our hi-res indoor LED solutions, X2O Content and Workflow Management platform, and OBLX structure. Furthermore, the event was the perfect opportunity to introduce our extended service offering, present our industry-leading partners and, of course, let people experience the power of our new ClickShare CSM Dual and Enterprise modules.
The future of collaboration
Our ClickShare collaboration solution also took center stage during WORKTECH 14, on 17 and 18 November. WORKTECH 14 touched down at Level39 in London to provide insights into emerging workplace trends, technologies and the workforce of the future. On day 1 of the conference, Lieven Bertier, our global marketing manager for collaboration, delivered a thought-provoking presentation on the future of collaboration, making meetings more effective and `SWITCHing’ approaches to accomplish this.
Golden Bridge Trade & Export Awards
Last but not least, Barco was also happy to support the 18th Golden Bridge Trade & Export Awards at the stylish Belgian-Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce (BLCC) Club House last Thursday. Over 200 guests attended this year’s gala dinner and awards ceremony, to celebrate with the award winners. Barco delivered a RLM-W12 projector to support this prestigious event.
Control Room Conference
And we’re not leaving London this week! Our colleague Guy Van Wijmeersch, Director Strategic Marketing, is one of the keynote speakers during this year’s Control Rooms Conference at the Kensington Close Hotel (26 and 27 November). In his introductory keynote, Guy will talk about a “Blueprint for the control room of the future”. In addition, he’ll host a session on `content management and collaboration tools’ and on the `display technology of the future’. We will also demonstrate our networked visualization capabilities for control room operations. The Control Rooms Conference is attended by top technical and operational specialists from Europe, the Middle East and beyond. For those of you attending: we’ll be happy to welcome you at one of the Barco speaking slots!
